Jan Oblak insists there have been no new developments about his Atletico Madrid future but he is not thinking about leaving.
The Slovenia international is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and has been heavily linked with moves to Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain all season.
Oblak’s current deal isn’t due to expire until 2021 but the 25-year-old has remained coy on his future at Atletico.
“No news. I have the contract that I signed two years ago,” AS quote Oblak as saying. “What will happen well nobody knows, not even me.
“I prefer to finish the season well and hopefully with a title. Then we’ll see but I have a contract. I do not think of anything other than Atletico.
“Atletico can grow. They have grown a lot and surely will not stop now, although it is not easy.
“I am sure that Atletico will grow and we will see what will happen to me, for the moment I am here.
“I have a contract until 2021. If I continue, we will grow together and if not, the club will grow as well.”
Atletico are currently bracing themselves for interest in star outfielder Antoine Griezmann and it would be a disaster if Oblak also left.
Oblak has kept 21 clean sheets in 34 league appearances this season, at least three more than any other goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues.
