Former World Player of the Year Kaka has revealed next season will be his last with MLS franchise Orland City before returning to his native Brazil to play for Sao Paulo.
Kaka, 34, has spent the last two years with Orlando after leaving AC Milan in 2014 and the Brazil international has been a success for the new MLS franchise.
However, Kaka’s contract is due to expire in December 2017 and he has announced he will not extend his stay beyond the end of the next season in order to return to his boyhood club Sao Paulo.
“Next season will be the last one for at Orlando,” Kaka told Fox Sports. “If I come back, it’s Sao Paulo. Not even a big money offer from another club. It needs to have context. You’re not spending your whole day sitting in a chair looking at your bank account.”
In 52 appearances Kaka has played a direct hand in 33 goals for Orlando (18 goals, 15 assists), with a decisive act coming every 133 minutes of action.
