Arsene Wenger is reportedly interested in bolstering his defence with Napoli left back Faouzi Ghoulam.
Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal is supposedly on the verge of signing for Athletic Club and Wenger has bookmarked the 24-year-old as his replacement.
According to Spanish paper Marca, Arsenal have already had a €10m (£7.1m) bid rejected, with Napoli holding out for an offer of at least €12m (£8.54m) for the Algeria international.
In last season's Europa League, only four other players to have made more than 10 appearances had a better pass completion than Ghoulam (87.3%)
