Valencia look to England for Neville replacement

Valencia will look to secure the services of Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager, reports the Daily Star.

Los Che are on the look out for a new head coach following the sacking of Gary Neville last month, with Pako Ayestaran currently in caretaker charge.

However, the La Liga side are keen on bringing in an experienced manager, with Pellegrini fitting the bill perfectly.

The Chilean boasts ample experience of Spain's top flight having managed Villarreal, Real Madrid and Malaga over a nine-year period.

Importantly, Pellegrini will be out of work in the summer, with the current Manchester City boss stepping down from the Etihad Stadium to make way for Pep Guardiola, so Valencia won't have to pay the Premier League side any compensation for his services.

The 62-year-old recently oversaw his side secure an impressive 2-2 draw with PSG in their bid to land Champions League glory.
