Suso responds to speculation over possible AC Milan exit

AC Milan winger Suso has responded to speculation linking him with a move away from the Serie A giants this summer.

Premier League outfit Tottenham are keen to add a wide attacking threat to the side and are thought to be monitoring Suso having been disappointed in their pursuit to strengthen on the wings.

Top target Wilfried Zaha penned a new deal with Crystal Palace, while Everton are supposedly demanding upwards of £50m for wantaway midfielder Ross Barkley.

It’s seen Spurs turn their attention to former Liverpool youngster Suso, with the winger confirming he has offers from Champions League teams, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side believed to be one.

However, the 23-year-old is keen on staying with AC Milan, even if talks over a new contract have stalled.

“We still have a few days of holidays left, the club is doing a great job to take us back to the top. I spoke to (Gianluigi) Donnarumma last week, I hope he will stay, he has to follow his feelings but I hope he will stay,” Suso told Sky Sports via Calciomercato.com.

“I want to thank AC Milan fans because they are sending me many messages. I had an agreement for a new contract in December but the club is giving priority to other issues. I have no news about my contract extension, I’ve been waiting since December. I had an agreement with Fassone but I’ve heard no news yet and I have received offers from the Champions League clubs but I want to stay here.

“Montella is the best manager I’ve had in my career. We’ve improved a lot with him although Gasperini is another very important manager in my career.”
