Aston Villa captain Fabian Delph is having his medical at Manchester City just under a week after pledging his future to Villa.
City have reportedly come back with improved terms for the 25-year-old ahead of an £8m move to the Etihad Stadium.
It caps a remarkable turnaround that saw the England international snub Manuel Pellegrini's side last week and express his desire to lead Villa forward.
"I'm not leaving, I'm staying at the football club," said Delph in a statement last week.
However, the former Leeds midfielder has since changed his mind and will now go through the formalities before joining up with his new teammates on their pre-season tour of Australia.
The Villa skipper played an invaluable part in maintaining the club's Premier League status last season. In fact, no player outside the top four clubs in England’s top-flight averaged more touches per game than Delph (78.3) and of players to have attempted 50+ dribbles last term, only Yaya Toure (83.6%) had a better success rate than the Villa midfielder (82.4%).
