Mbappe has long been linked with a move away from the French powerhouse, who have previously been able to ward off interest in the France international.

However, it looks as though the 25-year-old will finally depart the Parc des Princes this at the end of the season when his current deal draws to a close.

Real Madrid are the frontrunners to secure his services, with Los Blancos long-term admirers for the former Monaco man.

That said, Real Madrid are yet to lodge a sufficient offer for Mbappe according to members of the player's entourage, which has delayed the process of the forward swapping Ligue 1 for La Liga.

Mbappe has been key for PSG this season and has been influential in helping the French giants open up an 11-point gap at the top of Ligue 1.

Mbappe has scored more goals (20) than any other player in France's top tier this term, while the PSG star also ranks top for shots (94), player of the match awards (6) and WhoScored rating (7.95).
