Luke Shaw gets new Manchester United deal

Manchester United have activated a clause in Luke Shaw’s contract to extend his stay by a further 12 months, reports The Daily Mirror.

Shaw’s contract will now expire in the summer of 2019 but his future at Old Trafford is far from certain.

The 22-year-old is currently recovering from ankle ligament damage suffered towards the end of last season and he may only have until Christmas to prove his worth to Jose Mourinho.

Shaw has endured a disastrous time since joining United in 2014 and has struggled to win over Mourinho in the last 12 months.
