Just hours before the the PFA awards ceremony, Tottenham have accidentally leaked that their own Dele Alli has been named the PFA Young Player of the Year.
A picture of tomorrow night’s programme made the rounds on social media highlighting that Alli had been given the award ahead of teammate and last year’s winner Harry Kane.
Since returning from MK Dons, Alli has gone from strength to strength putting in a number of impressive performances. He even earned himself an England call-up.
The excerpt highlighted that Alli has “taken to the top flight with consummate ease, producing a string of excellent performances while chipping in with his fair share of goals and assists, so it was no surprise to see him nominated for the award.”

Since the turn of the year, only James Milner (8) has registered more assists in the league than Dele Alli (6). He’s also scored 6 goals in that time - just one fewer than Leicester’s Jamie Vardy.
Unfortunately the 20-year-old along with his teammates have been blocked from attending tonight’s dinner to focus on tomorrow. Tottenham are at home to West Brom on Monday night, and currently sit 8 points behind league leaders Leicester.
