Fulham sign Besiktas goalkeeper

Fulham have announced the arrival of Besiktas goalkeeper Fabri on a three-year deal until 2021 with an option to a further 12 months.

The Cottagers have reportedly agreed pay in the region of £5m to sign Fabri and he marks the third summer arrival at the club.

Fulham switched between David Button and Marcus Bettinelli in goal last season but Slavisa Jokanovic has moved to sign an upgrade this summer.

“Everything is very positive for me and I want to take the opportunity to make the most of this goal of being in the Premier League,” he told the club’s official website.

Fabri has spent the last two years at Besiktas, having previously spent his entire playing career in his native Spain.

The 30-year-old will bring a wealth of experience to Fulham, as Slavisa Jokanovic’s side look to beat the drop next season.

Of goalkeepers that made at least five appearances in the Turkish Super Lig last season, only Konyaspor shot-stopper Serkan Kirintili (76.6%) had a better save success rate than Fabri (74.8%).
