Inter boss seeks to boost frontline with Arsenal forward

Inter boss Antonio Conte is the latest manager to join the race to sign Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, reports The Mirror on Sunday. 

Aubameyang, who has scored 14 league goals this season, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates in recent weeks. 

Barcelona were credited with an interest in the Gabon international in January as they sought a new striker to ease Luis Suarez's absence. 

The LaLiga side opted against moving for Aubameyang, but interest in the Gunners captain remins high as he nears the final season of his Arsenal contract. 

Aubameyang is believed to have reservations about committing his long-term future to the club with Arsenal set to miss out on Champions League football again this season. 

Barcelona have turned their attentions towards Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and the Argentine's exit could see Inter pursue Aubameyang. 

Conte is no stranger to bringing in Premier League experienced stars having signed Ashley Young, Christian Eriksen and Victor Moses in January. 

Arsenal would prefer to cash in on Aubameyang in the summer rather than lose him on a free next year, which should trigger a scramble for his services at the end of the season.
