Bayern Munich sent scouts to watch Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek during their 2-0 win over Schalke in the Europa League last week, reports Sport1, via Get German Football.
Van Beek, 19, is also on Manchester United’s radar and impressed during a rare outing for the Dutch giants as cover for the suspended Lasse Schone in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Schalke.
The teenage midfielder has been forced to make most of his appearances from the substitute bench this season, although he has started five of their Europa League matches this season.
A product of the Ajax academy, Van Beek’s current deal isn’t due to expire until 2020 but looks a player to follow over the coming seasons as his involvement will only increase following his first proper campaign in the first-team.
In fact, only Mateo Cassierra (15) has been substituted on more times of all Ajax player in the league this season than Van Beek (14).
