Nemanja Vidic and Inter have mutually agreed to terminate the former Manchester United captain’s contract, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Vidic, 34, has spent the last two years at Inter since joining on a free from United in 2014, but has spent the majority of that time out injured.
The former Serbia international underwent a back operation at the start of the season and hasn’t featured ever since, with confirmation of his departure expected in the coming days.
Vidic has been strongly linked with a move to MLS in the past and it looks likely that would be his next destination.
The veteran defender made 23 league appearances in his first season at Inter, in which no teammate triggered more offsides per game in Serie A than Vidic (1.3).
