Tottenham are considering a move for out of favour Liverpool striker Divock Origi should Vincent Janssen leave the club before the close of the transfer window, reports the Sun.
Janssen has struggled to make an impact following his big money arrival in England last summer, with his only appearance in the Premier League to date coming as a late sub in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move away from the north London side in recent weeks, yet it remains to be seen if Spurs will cash in on the 23-year-old so close to the end of the month.
Should they sell Janssen, though, Mauricio Pochettino’s side could move for Origi, who is concerned that a lack of game time will hinder his chances of a spot in the Belgium squad at the World Cup.
There is hefty competition in attack for the Red Devils, with Michy Batshuayi, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke all forward options for Roberto Martinez.
And Origi is aware that a lack of regular action for Liverpool will likely see him miss out on a spot in the Belgium squad in Russia next summer.
Having been left out of the team to face Hoffenheim in midweek, the 22-year-old is fearful that he is now fourth choice striker in the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp, with Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and summer arrival Dominic Solanke preferred by the Reds boss.
Klopp is willing to listen to offers for the youngster as he aims to free up funds to help bolster his squad, with Renato Sanches and Virgil van Dijk both top targets for the Liverpool head coach.
