Chelsea legend emerges as shock Inter candidate

Gianfranco Zola has emerged as a shock candidate to become Inter’s next permanent manager, according to Sky Italia.

The former Chelsea midfielder has been out of work since being sacked by Qatari side Al-Arabi earlier this year.

Inter are looking for a new manager after dismissing Frank de Boer less than three months into the job and Zola has now emerged as a shock candidate to replace the Dutchman.

It’s reported that the 50-year-old will meet with Inter officials to discuss the job and he could even join the club as an assistant manager to an alternative target, Marcelino, who was sacked as Villarreal manager before the start of the season.
