Newcastle prioritise Real Madrid forward to kickstart new regime
Newcastle have made Real Madrid star Gareth Bale their number one priority signing once the new owners have taken over, reports Marca.
The Saudi-back consortium are expected to complete the £300m takeover of the Magpies before too long and they have big plans to revamp Newcastle.
Indeed, Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be the manager they want to take over the reins at St. James' Park and they have made Bale their top summer target.
The Wales international is expected to leave Los Blancos this summer having fallen out of favour under head coach Zinedine Zidane.
Bale came close to leaving for Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, only for Real Madrid to pull the plug on the deal at the last minute.
However, Marca believe that a bid of around €20m will convince them to sell the 30-year-old, who has netted only two league goals this season.
In another campaign blighted by injury, Bale has made only 11 LaLiga starts this season.
