Real Madrid end pursuit of Pogba

Real Madrid have ended their interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba paving the way for Manchester United to sign the France international, reports Sky Sports.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus in recent years but his four year stint with the Serie A champions finally looks like it will end this summer.

The 23-year-old reportedly wants to join Madrid but the European Champions have been priced out of the market following United’s intention to pay a world record £100m fee.

Jose Mourinho’s side are expected to firm up their interest in Pogba after the Euro 2016 final on Sunday as the new United manager looks to complete his summer transfer business and bring Pogba back to Old Trafford.

In the last three Serie A campaigns only Miralem Pjanic (11) has scored more goals from outside the area than Pogba (10).
