Arsenal goalkeeper on the cusp of Besiktas switch

Besiktas are ready to revive Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina's career with the Turkish champions believed to be close to finalising a £3m move for the Colombian, according go the Daily Mirror.

Ospina lost his number one spot at the Emirates following the arrival of Petr Cech, though still made four Premier League appearances this season to return a WhoScored rating of 7.11.

The 27-year-old has made it clear that he wants to leave the Gunners this summer in the search of regular first team action, with Besiktas regularly linked with a move for the Colombia international.

A number of teams in France are supposedly interested in Ospina, while Everton are hoping to convince the shotstopper to remain in England as they look to bolster their backline.

However, Ospina's exit would mean Arsenal need to sign a new backup goalkeeper, with Wojciech Szczesny, who is on loan at Serie A side Roma, keen on remaining in Italy.
