Paris Saint-Germain ready to walk away from Dele Alli talks

Paris Saint-Germain are threatening to pull the plug on talks to sign Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli, claims The Daily Telegraph.

Alli's future at Tottenham has been plunged into doubt after sensationally being axed by head coach Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho is reportedly keen to reunite with Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard but must first offload Dele.

The England international has been offered to a number of clubs around Europe for a season-long loan deal and PSG were invited to discuss a potential deal.

Thomas Tuchel was keen on the idea of landing Alli on a one-year basis but PSG cannot agree on a financial package with Tottenham.

It is unclear whether Tottenham are requesting too big a loan fee or PSG covering most or all of Alli's wages, but the Ligue 1 champions are ready to walk away.

It leave Alli's in limbo over his Tottenham future after being left out of the matchday squad for their last two matches in all competitions.

Alli was considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League after scoring 18 league goals in 2016/17 but his reputation has dipped massively since then.

In fact, the 24-year-old's WhoScored rating has dropped season-on-season since then to just 6.87 in 2019/20.
