Liverpool have announced they have loaned Divock Origi to Wolfsburg for the remainder of the season.
Wolfsburg have fended off competition from Liverpool’s Premier League rivals to sign the Belgium international.
The Bundesliga outfit have moved to bolster their offensive options and have agreed to pay a £6m loan fee for Origi, as well as all of his wages.
However, Liverpool have inserted a recall clause that will enable Jurgen Klopp to bring Origi back to Anfield in January.
The 22-year-old has struggled to nail down regular playing time since moving to Liverpool in 2015 and he has dropped even further downing the pecking order following the arrivals of Dominic Solanke, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mohamed Salah this summer.
Origi made 34 appearances in the Premier League last season but was used as a substitute on 20 occasions in that time.
