Newcastle United have enter discussions with Valencia regarding a possible loan deal for left-back Lucas Orban, according to The Daily Mail.
Steve McClaren would appear keen on strengthening his options at full-back with Paul Dummett his only fit left sided defender.
Orban, 26, has only started in six league games for Valencia this season, although he has found first-team opportunities easier to come by since Gary Neville replaced Nuno as manager.
The Argentina international has already worked with Newcastle coach Ian Cathro, during his time as assistant to former Valencia manager Nuno.
Of players to have started at least five La Liga games this season, only four players require fewer minutes per tackle than Orban (21.8 mins).
