Which record breaker ranked supreme in Ligue 1 this weekend?

Murmurs of his future at Paris Saint-Germain continue to rumble on as he approaches the final six months of his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit, but there has been no let up in the performances of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The iconic Swede notched a brace of goals in their 3-0 win over Nice and in doing so he became the club’s top scorer in Ligue 1 (87).

The 34-year-old may not be at PSG beyond the end of this season, but he will forever be remembered in the French capital. Despite his age, he is enjoying one of the finest periods in his career. In fact, no player across Europe’s top five leagues is requiring fewer minutes per goal or assist than Ibrahimovic thus far (52.3 minutes).

Ibrahimovic has now scored at least one more goal than any other player in Ligue 1 this season (12), as PSG maintained their 15-point advantage over their nearest rivals.

The former Barcelona striker’s WhoScored.com rating of 9.41 was by far the highest in the France top-flight over the weekend, and this was largely thanks to scoring both of his goals from his four shots on target.
