Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman will undergo his medical at Chelsea later this week after agreeing terms with the Premier League champions, according to The Guardian.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been heavily linked with a move for the Ghana international and the Blues’ interest has intensified following the departure of Filipe Luis.
The Bundesliga outfit had been hoping to fetch in the region of £21.2m for the 21-year-old, but reports have emerged suggesting the initial fee agreed between the clubs is actually closer to £14m.
Rahman emerged as one of the brightest prospects in Europe last season. In fact, no player completed more tackles in the Bundesliga last season than the Ghanaian (109).
