Paul Pogba unhappy about Manchester United’s agreement with Sanchez
Paul Pogba will demand Manchester United double his current £200,000-a-week wages in order to match the contract of new signing Alexis Sanchez, claims The Daily Mirror.
Sanchez will undergo his United medical on Sunday before officially joining Jose Mourinho’s side, but his arrival could spark some tension at the club.
Mino Raiola, who has negotiated Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s move to Arsenal as part of the Sanchez deal, will tell United that Pogba’s current deal, which he only signed in 2016, is no longer valid for his client.
Pogba's contract is not due to expire until 2021 and United have the option to increase that by a further 12 months, but Mourinho’s side cannot risk unsettling their star man.
The 24-year-old has been in breathtaking form for United this season, garnering a WhoScored rating of 7.73 in the Premier League.
In fact, only Kevin De Bruyne (10) has registered as many assists than Pogba (9) in England’s top-flight.
