Arsenal offered Ibrahimovic

Paris Saint-Germain have offered Arsenal the chance to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to the London Evening Standard.

Ibrahimovic, 33, has been extensively linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions this summer and could be set for a shock move to Arsenal in the remaining hours of the transfer window.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly been spotted in the French capital in an attempt to thrash out a double deal for Edinson Cavani and Adrien Rabiot, but according to London Evening Standard, the Gunners’ boss could return with the iconic Swede.

Arsenal fans have grown frustrated by their club’s lack of action in the transfer market this summer, with Petr Cech their only arrival thus far. However, a swoop for Ibrahimovic would certainly please the Arsenal faithful and would arguably transform them into genuine title contenders.

The former Barcelona striker, who once had a trial at Arsenal, has been at PSG since 2012 and in that period, Ibrahimovic has scored at least 25 more goals than anyone else in Ligue 1 (75).
