Barcelona are readying a huge bid for Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli as they look to put the money used from Neymar’s sale to good use, reports the Sunday Express.
Neymar left the Copa Del Rey holders for PSG last week for a world record £198m, with the La Liga giants now hoping to strengthen accordingly in the wake of the Brazilian’s departure.
The Spanish outfit are keen to improve in midfield, with Manchester United’s Ander Herrera another top target for Barcelona.
However, they could instead make a move for Alli, who impressed for Tottenham last season as he netted 18 league goals, a return bettered only by Timo Werner (21) of players aged 21 and under in Europe’s top five leagues last season.
Spurs, though, are keen to retain their prized assets, of which Alli is one, in their bid to launch a sustained title assault.
The north London side won their final pre-season friendly with a 2-0 victory over Serie A champions Juventus on Saturday evening.
