Arsenal have made a £26m bid for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via 101 Great Goals.
Mustafi, 24, has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this move after Arsene Wenger stepped up his search for a new centre-back in the wake of long-term injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel.
Arsenal appeared to have gone off the the idea of signing the Germany international after deeming the centre-back too expensive but appear to have rekindled their interest after finally bidding for his signature.
In the last three La Liga campaigns Mustafi has completed more interceptions than any other player (226).
