Juventus complete Matuidi capture

Juventus have announced they have signed Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year deal until June 2020.

The Serie A giants have been keen to sign a new box-to-box midfielder all summer and have landed Matuidi in a deal worth €20m (£18.3m).

Matuidi had been linked with a move away from PSG since midway through last season and having entered the final 12 months of his contract this summer, Unai Emery’s side have opted to cash in.

The France international is the sixth new player to join Juventus this summer following the arrivals of Federico Bernardeschi, Wojciech Szczesny, Mattia De Sciglio, Rodrigo Bentancur and Douglas Costa.

Only Julien Feret (24) has scored more Ligue 1 goals than Matuidi (22) of midfielders in the last six seasons.
