Borussia Dortmund sign Hazard

Borussia Dortmund have announced the arrival of Gladbach winger Thorgan Hazard.

Dortmund have made no secret of their interest in the Belgium international but have struggled to agree a price with Gladbach in the last few weeks.

The Bundesliga outfit confirmed the signing of Hoffenheim defender Nico Schulz on Tuesday and have now made their second addition of the summer in Hazard.

Hazard has put pen to paper on a five-year deal running until the summer of 2024 for an undisclosed fee.

Lucien Favre’s side have moved for Hazard as a result of Christian Pulisic’s departure to Chelsea.

Dortmund would also have required another addition on the flanks had Jadon Sancho moved to Manchester United but that deal appears off for now.

Despite a disappointing second half of the season, Hazard was still one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga.

In fact, Hazard was one of only two players, along with new team-mate Sancho, to register double figures for goals (10) and assists (10) in the Bundesliga this season.
