Arsenal may have to take their search for a new striker elsewhere after being told that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is categorically not for sale.
Arsene Wenger's side have reportedly already had a bid in the region of £28.7m rejected for the Gabon international and Dortmund have been quick to smother any thoughts Arsenal may have to increase their offer.
"We rely heavily on Aubameyang – that is no secret," Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc said in German magazine Kicker.
"I've heard a lot about this [transfer to Arsenal], but I can say very clearly that it is blocked for him. He is simply not for sale."
Dortmund"s desire to keep the 26-year-old is understandable. Since joining from French side Saint-Etienne in 2013, only Robert Lewandowski (37) has scored more goals in the Bundesliga than Aubameyang (29).
