Eintracht Frankfurt set to continue Japanese tradition with Kamada signing

Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have a tradition of signing Japanese players, with Makoto Hasebe currently on the books following in the footsteps of the likes of Junichi Inamoto and Takashi Inui.

According to Kicker, via Japanese portal Football Tribe, they are set to add another player to that list having made an approach for Daichi Kamada of J-League’s Sagan Tosu.

The 20-year-old midfielder has reportedly caught the eye of the German club and a deal is expected to be reached to see the youngster sign before long.

Kamada has scored 5 goals in 15 appearances across the league and cup this season having scored 8 times in the previous campaign.

Having pushed for a European finish in the first half of the campaign Frankfurt endured an utterly disastrous return following the winter break to fall to 11th and are understandably keen to bolster their ranks under Niko Kovac to arrest a worrying slide in form.
