Goal shy Real Madrid ready to go all out for Kane in January

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo Real Madrid will reaffirm their interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane with a January bid.

The European champions are reportedly ready to take drastic action to solve their ongoing problems in the final third by submitting a world record offer for the England international.

Kane, who has five Premier League goals to his name this season and netted in the recent defeat to Barcelona at Wembley, still has six years to run on his current deal with Spurs and it would take an unprecedented amount of money to convince the London club to sell.

Real Madrid could drop as low as sixth in LaLiga if results go against them on Sunday following another shock defeat, this time to Deportivo Alaves, who leapfrogged the Spanish giants in the table with a last gasp victory on Saturday.

Julen Lopetegui is already under pressure in the capital after a fourth successive match without so much as a goal in all competitions, let alone a victory.

After a strong start to the season from Karim Benzema, the Frenchman has now gone seven games without a goal and patience is seemingly wearing thin in Madrid’s number nine, who was hauled off at half-time in the defeat at the weekend.
