Paris Saint-Germain make Manchester United forward shock transfer target

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of Marcus Rashford and wants to sign the Manchester Unitd forward this summer, claims The Independent.

Even with the upcoming restart of the Champions League, Tuchel is plotting how best to maximise his attacking options next season and has indentified Rashford as a top target.

The PSG head coach is a huge admirer of Rashford's speed and directness and believes he could dovetail perfectly with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Rashford's versatility is also a huge plus point against his name, particularly as Tuchel likes his forwards to constantly be on the move, switching positions.

With doubts over Mbappe's long-term future at PSG, Tuchel believes Rashford also represents the ideal long-term replacement for the 2018 World Cup winner.

However, Rashford is happy at United and has a strong relationship with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils would also want in excess of £100m in order to even consider the departure of Rashford, which seems an unlikely transaction this summer given the finanical impact of COVID-19.

Rashford is enjoying his best season in front of goal after netting his 21st goal in all competitions in Monday's 2-2 draw with Southampton.

The 22-year-old has played a direct hand in 22 goals in 28 league appearances (16 goals, six assists).
