Chelsea have announced under-19 captain Charlie Colkett has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal at the club.
Colkett captained Chelsea’s academy side to UEFA Youth League success on Monday as the west London outfit successfully defended their title.
The England Under-20 international’s performances for the under aged teams have impressed first-team manager Guus Hiddink so much that he was called up to the senior squad for the first time and was an unused substitute in their 1-0 defeat to Swansea earlier this month.
“It’s a very proud day for me and my family to sign again for Chelsea,” Colkett told the club’s official website. “It’s been great since I’ve been here and hopefully I can continue to kick on and achieve even more.”
