Liverpool will face competition from Ligue 1 giants PSG in the race to sign Christian Pulisic, reports German publication Bild.
The Reds were heavily linked with a move for the teenager over the summer and reports have refused to die down in recent weeks linking Jurgen Klopp’s side with a swoop for Pulisic.
Borussia Dortmund have regularly stated that they won’t look to sell the 18-year-old in January, but that is unlikely to deter Liverpool from moving for the teenage wideman.
Klopp is without Philippe Coutinho for the foreseeable future due to injury and with Sadio Mane set to represent Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, the German could be left short of attacking options in the club’s pursuit of domestic glory.
PSG, though, are also interested in Pulisic and have significantly greater financial resources with which to tempt Dortmund into selling.
The USA international has made six league starts this season, registering four assists in the process, but could be set to watch from the sidelines following Marco Reus’ return from injury.
The Bundesliga outfit aren’t short of attacking wide options, with Thomas Tuchel able to call on Reus, Ousmane Dembele, Andre Schurrle and Emre More on the flanks along with Pulisic.
Pulisic is unlikely to settle for a bit-part role and could seek a move away from Dortmund in January, which would appeal to both Liverpool and PSG.
