His goalscoring exploits haven’t gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid reportedly willing to make him the first £100m player to bring him to Spain.

Spurs, though, are under no pressure to sell and are keen to retain the 21-year-old’s services and are said to be considering offering Alli a new deal to make him one of the best paid players at the club.

Any new contract would extend Alli’s deal at White Hart Lane to 2023, with he currently tied to Spurs until 2022.

Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest in the England international, but Real Madrid, who have twice signed big named players from Spurs in the form of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, are said to be leading the charge should the north London side decide to cash in on Alli.
