Everton centre-back John Stones has handed in a transfer request amid strong interest from Chelsea, according to the Sky Sports News.
Chelsea have already have already had three bids rejected for Stones and are now expected to return with an improved offer in excess of £30m.
The Premier League champions’ defence has looked unusually suspect so far this season. In fact, only Sunderland (4) have made more errors that have directly led to a shot than Chelsea (3), who picked up their first win of the season away to West Brom on Sunday.
