Milan agree terms with Barcelona target

AC Milan have sneaked in ahead of Barcelona to sign Celta Vigo winger Nolito, according to Mundo Deportivo, via Football Espana.

Nolito, 28, is widely expected to leave Celta at the end of the season and it was thought Barcelona would exercise their buy-back option on the Spain international in January.

However, Milan have reportedly piped their European rivals to his signature with the deal due to be completed when Milan’s €700m (£552m) takeover goes through at the end of the season.

Nolito has enjoyed another sensational season for Celta, weighing in with 18 goals from 27 league appearances (11 goals, seven assists). Not only that, but only Lionel Messi (13) has picked up more WhoScored.com Man of the Match awards in La Liga this season than Nolito (8).
