Everton boss plots bold summer move for Serie A goal machine
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is planning an audacious move for Serie A goal machine Ciro Immobile this summer, reports 90min.
The Toffees head coach is looking to revamp his squad in the off season and has earmarked Lazio star Ciro Immobile as the ideal frontman to spearhead the attack next term.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison have both excelled as the club's strike pair following Ancelotti's appointment, yet the Italian is hoping to lure his compatriot away from Rome when the opportunity presents itself.
Immobile has been in stunning form for Lazio this season, with his 27 league goals more than any other player in Europe's top five leagues.
His fine form in front of goal has fired Lazio to the top of Serie A, which is currently suspended in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak gripping the world.
Lazio would be reluctant to lose the 30-year-old star forward, whose goal return has seen him yield a WhoScored rating of 7.70 this season.
Immobile has previously struggled to replicate his excellent goalscoring exploits outside of Italy having faltered in Germany and Spain with Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla, respectively, but that is unlikely to deter Ancelotti from moving for Immobile.
