Claudio Ranieri is plotting a January raid for Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar to help ease the goalscoring burden on Jamie Vardy, according to The Daily Mirror.
Vardy, 28, has been in sensational form since the start of the season but has just undergone minor groin surgery and will miss Leicester’s FA Cup clash with Spurs at the weekend.
Ranieri is reportedly a big admirer of Aboubakar and is keen to sign the Cameroonian to help Vardy for the second half of the season.
The 23-year-old would arrive with Champions League experience having scored three goals in each of the last two group stage campaigns with Porto.
