Middlesbrough have successfully resurrected their interest in Jordan Rhodes and signed the Blackburn striker for £11m, the club have announced.
Aitor Karanka’s side had agreed a fee and terms with Rhodes over the weekend only for the move to sensationally collapse.
However, they have successfully managed to salvage the deal and have now made Rhodes the second-most expensive Scottish player of all time, with an initial £9m deal plus £2m add-ons.
Over the last three Championship campaigns, Rhodes has scored at least 9 more clear-cut chances (40) than any other player.
