Manchester United consider shock move to re-sign Zaha

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring Wilfried Zaha back to Old Trafford at the end of the season, claims The Sun.

Zaha endured a nightmare two-year stint at United from 2013 to 2015 where he only made two substitute appearances in the Premier League.

The Ivory Coast international completed a permanent move back to boyhood club Palace at the start of 2015 and has since rediscovered his best form.

Zaha has been desperate to join one of the biggest clubs in Europe for the last 12 months but Palace have not budged on their valuation of the 27-year-old.

Everton came closest to signing Zaha in the summer but their reported £52m offer fell well short of Palace's asking price.

Arsenal were also keen on Zaha before eventually breaking their club-transfer record to land Nicolas Pepe, while Chelsea have previously been linked.

However, it has now emerged United are pondering a sensational move to re-sign Zaha and believe he is better placed to succeed at the club.

Solskjaer is desperate to add pace to his current options and has identified Zaha as a top transfer target at the end of the season.

Borussia Dortmund whizz Jadon Sancho remains United's first-choice transfer target but they face competition for his signature.

Since the beginning of last season, Zaha has completed at least 30 more dribbles than any other player in the Premier League (168).
