Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are planning a German record £65m move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, the Sun on Sunday reports.
Scouts from the German side have been attending Everton games this season as they keep tabs on the frontman, with head of recruitment Michael Reschke seemingly impressed by what he saw of the Belgian in Everton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.
Lukaku was heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park last summer, with regular Champions League football the aim for the youngster, only for Ronald Koeman to convince the 23-year-old to stay at Goodison Park for another year.
The Toffees have been rewarded, with Lukaku firing in six league goals this season, a return bettered only by Chelsea man Diego Costa (7).
However, if the Belgium international maintains his fine form in front of goal, it will be impossible for Everton to retain his services, particularly if they fail to secure a European finish.
Bayern are one of a number of teams interested in Lukaku, but will reportedly hold off from making a bid for the striker until the end of the campaign.
