Tottenham have confirmed that Paulo Gazzaniga has left for LaLiga side Elche on loan for the rest of the season.
The Argentine joined from Southampton in 2017 and proved an able deputy for Hugo Lloris when needed.
Indeed, Gazzaniga made 17 league appearances for Tottenham last season in the absence of Lloris, who spent a spell on the sidelined after dislocating his elbow in a 3-0 defeat at Brighton.
However, the arrival of Joe Hart on a free transfer saw Gazzaniga relegated to third choice goalkeeper and having failed to make a competitive appearance this season, Spurs have allowed the shotstopper to depart.

"Paulo Gazzaniga has joined La Liga side Elche on loan until the end of the season," a statement read on the club's official website.
"The Argentina goalkeeper, who joined us from Southampton in August, 2017, has made 37 competitive appearances for us to date."
Elche currently sit 19th in LaLiga, but are two points from safety and have two games in hand on those around them in the table.
