MLS franchise interested in Schweinsteiger

FC Dallas chief Dan Hunt has revealed they would be open to signing Bastian Schweinsteiger if the Manchester United midfielder is available.

Schweinsteiger has been forced to train with the reserves since the start of the season after being exiled manager Jose Mourinho.

The former Germany international has been linked with a move to MLS and Dallas have now opened the door to signing the veteran midfielder.

“He is an incredible player,” Sky Sports quote Hunt as saying. ‘I always admired him and the success that his teams had. That is no coincidence, he is a winner.

“At the moment we only have space for one designated player and we wanted to fill this with a striker. Maybe it changes, we well see.”

Schweinsteiger hasn’t featured competitively for United since March and has only started 13 league games since the start of last season.
