Tottenham forward attracting interest from Germany

Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach are considering a summer move for Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Netherlands international only moved to the north London side last year, yet flattered to deceive in his debut season in England as he scored just two Premier League goals for Spurs.

Janssen is keen to prove his worth to the club in the upcoming campaign, yet Spurs may look to cut their losses on the 23-year-old, which could be of interest to Gladbach.

The Bundesliga outfit are looking to strengthen in attack over the summer and could turn their attention to Janssen having recently confirmed the loan signing of Reece Oxford from West Ham.

Janssen is behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the Tottenham pecking order, though the latter is set to miss the start of the upcoming campaign having sustained a broken arm while away on international duty.

Gladbach need a strike partner for star frontman Lars Stindl and have eyed Janssen as the ideal frontman to start alongside the Germany international, while the club could afford Spurs’ asking price for the Dutchman following the sales of Granit Xhaka and Mahmoud Dahoud over the last 12 months.
