Ibrahimovic misses Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he misses life at Manchester United just over a month after leaving the club.

Jose Mourinho’s side agreed to terminate Ibrahimovic’s contract at the end of March to allow the veteran striker to join MLS giants LA Galaxy.

The 36-year-old made a stunning debut for the Galaxy but recently hit out at the club’s home form following a run of three straight home defeats.

United celebrated their end of season awards ceremony on Tuesday evening and Ibrahimovic revealed, through a pre-recorded video, that he misses the club.

“I see you are doing well. You made it to the [FA Cup] final, which I like a lot even if I am not there,” Sky Sports quote Ibrahimovic as saying in his personal message.

“Here, everything is okay. I enjoy the sun every day. I want to say to all the fans: ‘I miss you, I miss playing at Old Trafford and seeing all the red shirts’. I have great memories there.

“I want to thank everybody for the push, adrenaline and energy you gave me. I want to thank my team-mates also because you have been fantastic and you made it easy for me.

“Coach [Jose Mourinho], I miss you also. You know what you need to do to win. There is no secret behind that.”

Ibrahimovic was limited to just seven appearances in all competitions for United this season prior to moving Stateside.

A serious knee injury suffered 12 months ago put an end to what promised to be an action-packed stint at Old Trafford.

The former Sweden international has scored three goals in five appearances for LA Galaxy since his arrival, netting a sensational winner in the Los Angeles derby on his debut.
