West Ham set to confirm double deal

West Ham are close to announcing the double signings of Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko, reports Sky Sports.

Wilshere is a free agent after his contract at Arsenal wasn’t renewed and is a long-term target for the Hammers.

Newly appointed West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is a fan of Wilshere and a deal for the midfielder to take him to the London Stadium is close to being confirmed.

Yarmolenko, who has been linked with a Premier League move in the past, is out of favour at Borussia Dortmund, with the Ukrainian striker not in the plans of new boss Lucien Favre.

It’s believed West Ham have agreed a £17.5m fee with Dortmund for Yarmolenko and the player will now undergo a medical at the club’s pre-season training base in Switzerland.

West Ham set to confirm double deal

West Ham have wasted no time in delving into the transfer market, with the club prepared to back Pellegrini in his bid to strengthen the squad.

Indeed, the east London side have already acquired Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea, Issa Doip from Toulouse and Ryan Fredericks from Fulham.

West Ham are also looking to wrap up the signing of Bruno Fernandes, but face competition from Atletico Madrid for his signature.
