Paris Saint-Germain midfielder turns down Liverpool and Tottenham offers

Javier Pastore has snubbed Liverpool and Tottenham this month as the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder only wants to return to Italy, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 28-year-old is free to leave PSG this month as Unai Emery’s side look to recoup some of their investment from the summer and has already agreed personal terms with Inter.

Pastore has spent the last seven years at PSG after leaving Palermo to join the French giants in 2011, but the last few seasons have been disrupted by a series of injury problems.

Emery’s side are determined to sell Pastore on a permanent basis this month but Inter are only in a position to agree an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.

It has now emerged that PSG have received bids as much as €40m (£35m) from Liverpool and Tottenham this month but Pastore does not want to play in the Premier League.

Pastore has only started eight Ligue 1 matches this season and been forced to make a further six appearances as a substitute. Despite struggling for continuity on the pitch, the Argentine as still scored four goals and provided one assist in that time.

With a January move away from PSG on the cards, it’s worth investing in the creative midfielder on Football INDEX while his share price is only £1.21.
