Arsenal may look to Premier League newboy

Arsenal could make a move for Watford striker Odion Ighalo, reports the Mirror.

The Nigeria international has been in superb goalscoring form for the Hornets in his debut campaign in England's top tier, netting a hugely impressive 14 goals this season.

His exploits have caught the eye of a number of Premier League sides, with Arsenal the latest to be credited with an interest in the 26-year-old.

The Gunners view Ighalo as an alternative for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after Borussia Dortmund slapped a £60m price tag on the Gabon international's head.

Watford, though are adamant that they will not be selling Ighalo for any price this month, with a deal instead going through at the end of the season, thus allowing the Hornets to consolidate their place in England's top tier.

Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the Nigerian, while Ighalo recently confessed it would be a "dream" to place for Arsenal's Premier League rivals Manchester United.
